Harnessing the Power of Computer Science Education

Amazon Future Engineer aims to unleash creativity and unlock potential by equipping students from underserved and underrepresented communities with high quality Computer Science education. By partnering with organizations that share our mission, Amazon Future Engineer drives systemic change, creating childhood-to-career pathways for students who are furthest from opportunity.
Through Class Chats, Amazonians demystify careers of the future to those farthest from it. Amazon volunteers connect with classrooms and draw on their personal experiences to help children understand the diverse career opportunities that exist in the tech industry and pathways to get there.
Students are introduced to a range of learning pathways spanning basics of computer science via fun learning experiences customised for the Indian context to bootcamps spread across a few weeks and structured computer science classes that help them build their first working projects. Each offering is standards-aligned, culturally responsive, and requires no prior coding experience.

Are you a school teacher? Amazon Future Engineer invites you to enroll in the Computer Science Teaching Excellence (CSTE) program, an incentivised teacher training initiative.
Maker’s Space is a state-of-the-art Robotics and AI Lab in Bangalore for Students, teachers and Amazonians.
Amazon Future Engineer’s Hyperlocal school adoption program, envisions creating an atmosphere that values and actively uses tools of computational thinking.
Amazon Future Engineer students can boost their future for themselves and their community with the support of a scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rs. 50,000/- per year) towards an undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering or related disciplines.
The Amazon Future Engineer Intern program is an 8-week, early-career job exposure initiative for select scholars who have completed four semesters (two years) of their engineering degree. Based on an evaluation of their skills and interests participants are offered tech internships.

I am incredibly grateful to the Amazon Future Engineer program. It has not only reaffirmed my ability to pursue a career in software engineering despite my initial doubts, but it has also motivated me to strive for excellence to continue inspiring future generations of minorities in engineering.

The robotics class conducted at our school was very helpful. It was great to see the students pick up new skills with ease. The concepts were taught through fun, interactive games and the students enjoyed the sessions.
