Who can apply?
The Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship is open to female students beginning their first year of B.E./B.Tech., preferably in Computer Science, IT, or related streams. To be eligible, applicants must:
Be an Indian citizen
have taken admission through a state or national-level entrance exam
have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) board exam in 2025
must come from families with an annual income less than ₹3 lakh.

What is the award amount?
If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a scholarship award of INR 50,000/year until graduation. Awards are renewable each year until a bachelor’s degree is earned, to a maximum of four years. Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrollment in an eligible course of study at an accredited four-year college or university, maintaining a good standing with their university, and continuation of the program by Amazon. The AFE scholars will also receive a laptop to enable them to learn early and develop skills.
What are the criteria for applying to the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship?

Is Computer Science the only branch of engineering that is eligible?
While scholars from all branches can apply, following branches will get preference:

How long will the scholarship application be open?
The application is already open, and will stay open through November 30, 2025.
How many award recipients will there be?
Amazon will grant 500 award recipients this year.
What else do AFE scholars get apart from financial Grant?
Amazon and Foundation for Excellence will guide AFE Scholars to build long-term careers in technology. Amazon will provide coding boot-camps on computer science skills, skill-development sessions through its Amazon WoW program, along with mentoring by Amazonians. Scholars will receive a laptop so that they have access to resources to further their development. Based on performance in boot-camps and an assessment conducted by Amazon, AFE Scholars may be selected for a two-month paid technical internship at Amazon. Selected AFE scholars will join Amazon as interns at the end of their second academic year. Based on their internship performance, students may receive another internship opportunity, and eventually the chance to join Amazon as a full time employee.
